Position:Mid Level QA/Automation Developer

Job Description:
1) Participate in Test Planning activities and develop automation strategies and frameworks
2) Design, build, test, deploy, maintain and execute effective test automation solutions by understanding precisely what the test designer wants any given test case or group of test cases to accomplish
3) Design, Develop, Execute and Maintain complex automated tests using HP QTP that requires highly complex scripting in VB Script
4) Plan, generate, maintain and executes detailed test plans and scripts for verification of software functionality
5) Use HP Quality Center for Defect tracking, requirement gathering, and planning, analyzing results, storing and executing the Automated Test Scripts.
6) Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation
7) Use risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for various Software products
8) Evaluate the non-functional requirements for testability and participate in the review of the technical acceptance criteria. As a technical expert in their field, focus on automating functional testing.
9) Responsible for developing test automation scripts and also responsible for creating tools using
VB.NET framework to script.
10) Write complex Queries in SQL for reading and updating data from various DB2 and/or Oracle databases for input/output to automated scripts
11) Maintain the Test Automation Solution for any ongoing changes and maintenance
12) Document test results and automation progress as well as methods and techniques used
13) Identify, design and develop creative solutions for practical test automation problems during design, scripting, execution or maintenance of the automated solution
Job Requirements:
1) Four or more years' experience in test automation using any test automation tool (Preferably QTP)
2) Strong Working Experience with HP Quality center
3) Strong Working Experience with HP QTP including heavy scripting in VB script
4) Strong Working Experience using SQL or similar query language for SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or UDB
5) Strong understanding of relational database schemas and ability to write complex SQL queries.
6) Strong Working Knowledgeable in methodologies related to software development and Testing
7) Moderate Working Experience with
VB.NET, C/C++ programming and Oracle 10g DDL
8) Moderate Technical documentation skills
9) Demonstrated ability to understand client-server or web application architecture and programs including, but not limited to Java, C++, C# and PowerBuilder
10) Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of issues during design, development, execution or maintenance of automated test
11) Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
12) Ability to learn processes, methodologies and applications quickly
13) Must be a good team player and have very strong communication skills and attention to detail
14) Excellent customer facing and interpersonal skills
