Objective - To Manage Uncertainty in Design and Innovation

Each engineer is born for creating some new outfits fulfilling his dreams. Design and Development of product, process, service, and business needs a systematic approach to convert idea to realized outfit. Typically such approach is available in literatures of Design for Six Sigma, Theory of Invention and Innovation, Robust Technology Development, Flexible Manufacturing Technologies etc. But more we read, more we get confused on the needed 'scenario creation skills'.

The course uses Minitab package to demonstrate data examples. Participants may optionally carry a Laptop along with data related to their problems, so as to get guidance during the program.

Design For X Family - DFX
Introduction to Reliability
Tolerance Design

Day -3

DoE - Design of Experiments
Process Resource (P-R) Map
High level and detailed Designs
Control Plan for Field-quality, Production, Supplier
Feedback & Certification

This is a Mainframe resident. Candidates must be US Citizens and be able to obtain a Postal Service Security Clearance. Please forward candidates to me.

Provided onsite vendor support services for the U.S. Postal Service. Responsible for storage management DFSMSHSM functions and support of mainframe data replication between sister sites.

· Support asynchronous data replication using SRDF in a Multi-Session Consistency (MSC) environment between US Postal sites.

· Support Business Continuance Volumes (BCV) to support Disaster Recovery Testing and TimeFinder point-in-time backups.

· Responsible for all DFSMSHSM maintenance and support functions. Daily tasks include review and correction of failed backup, dump, primary space management and secondary space management functions.

· Responsible for installation and support of BUSTECH Mainframe Data Library (MDL).

Provide onsite professional support services with the planning, testing and implementation of vendor specific processes and procedures. Current duties include, but not limited to, supporting asynchronous data replication using SRDF/A between Postal sites, supporting disaster recovery testing, and ongoing storage management maintenance functions
