Consultant Role/Responsibilities or Tasks on Project:
Service Name ? Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Assessment and Design Review
Service Description ? Conduct a SCCM assessment and design/architectural review that will address crucial planning and design aspects of the SCCM solution.
• Assessment and Requirements Workshop
o Gather business and technical requirements
o Analysis of requirements and development of recommendations
o Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) server infrastructure review
§ The use of the ADM Studio Console
§ Software package development
§ Deployment of packages
§ Inventory and management of identified Clients in SCCM
• SCCM Design ? Architectural review
o Architectural review of current SCCM 2007 R3 design and implementation
§ Explore SCCM options and best practices
§ Plan integration with infrastructure management services
§ Plan integration with desktop management services
§ Create Bill of Material for Hardware (if necessary)
§ Create Bill of Materials for Software (if necessary)
Provide the following services, consistent with the standards of practice existing within the industry, to lead MDCPS in a staff augmentation role, subject to MDCPS’s instructions, with various tasks in support of the Project which may include:
• Architectural review of current SCCM 2007 R3 design and implementation.
• Approval, suggestions or concerns based on real world enterprise deployments.
• Review the future SCCM functionality requirements
• Identify the steps to reach the final SCCM level of functionality
• Determine how the SCCM Pilot could be used as a seed for the future production system.
Utilizing a workshop setting, work with MDCPS to adjust the timetable of cooperative knowledge transfer sessions to meet their goals and set aside time for production work projects. Cooperative knowledge transfer sessions may need to be adjusted to fit the needs of the client. The HP consultant may utilize pre-defined workshop labs as guides and other pre-created content to conduct cooperative knowledge transfer sessions focused on Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager.
Skills Required (provide specific details around tools, client environment, certifications needed, etc):
This person will have the following skills:
Knowledge of SCCM architecture
MS SCCM certification highly desirable
