Job Description :
Principal Accountabilities
• Prepares flow charts and systems diagrams to assist in problem analysis.
• Responsible for preparing design documentation.
• Designs, codes, tests and debugs software according to client's standards, policies and procedures.
• Codes, tests and documents programs according to system standards.
• Prepares test data for unit, string and parallel testing.
• Analyzes business needs and creates software solutions.
• Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.
• Interacts with business users and I/T to define current and future application requirements.
Scope
• Provides strategic technical and architectural leadership to the programming function
• Key interface between IT and key business users / senior management in defining IT solution based on business needs
• Plans, conducts and manages assignments generally involving large, high budgets (cross functional) projects or more than one project.
• Serves as technical consultant to Managers in the IT organization and functional user groups.
• Initiates, and drives major changes in architecture, methodology or programming procedures.
• Imparts technical expertise to lower level programmer/analysts.
• Establishes organization-wide relationships.
Complexity
• Works on the highest level of problems with largest impact where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of complex business process, system process, and industry standards.
Knowledge and Skills
• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of applications programming and analysis and the impact of the solutions on the business and IT functions.
• Applies knowledge to analyze and develop solutions to highly complex problems (including global).
• Competent to work in all phases of applications programming.
• Possesses and applies an expert level of understanding of the principles of applications programming.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large projects or offer highly complex programming solutions.
• Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of key business processes, current and future requirements and key success factors.
• Ability to effectively communicate business issues and needs at a management level and how technology supports those requirements.
Experience
• 8+ years of professional experience (8 years directly related to I/T or functional area) or equivalent combination of education/experience.
