Type & duration: - 6-8 Months and extendable as well


Job Description:
This person will be part of a technical development team responsible for developing a major Financial Settlement and Accounting System.  The person will be responsible for converting Functional Requirements to Technical Design documents.  He/she will also be responsible for converting the Technical Design into business rules for the ILOG JRules "engine".  A large portion of the new development will be batch oriented functionality.

The person will also be involved in developing on-line interactive human interfaces to the system.  He/she will be responsible for converting all User Interface Functional Requirements to Technical Design documents.  He/she will also be responsible for converting the technical design into operational User Interface screens.

The person will also use the DataStage tool to perform a full range of ETL functionality such as editing, transforming, loading, extracting, reporting data for the application 


Unique Qualifications / Skill Sets:
Proficient in Java Enterprise Edition – 5+ years
Experience in writing data intensive Enterprise Java Applications using JDBC, Hybernate, and JPA
Working knowledge of Java Application Servers - Websphere is preferred
Knowledge of Rules Engine technology is required, ILOG JRules is preferred
Extensive experience building Enterprise User Interface Applications using Servlet, JSP, Struts, JSF, Tapestry, IBM Portlet Factory
Extensive experience building Portlet based applications
Good understanding of Database performance tuning, specifically DB2
Experience with all aspects of Application performance tuning
Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environment
DataStage experience 5+ years
UNIX/Linux scripting
DataStage performance tuning
 


Candidate Requirements:
The selected candidate will develop Financial Settlement Systems applications as part of a team under the direction of a Project Technical Lead.
The person will start with Business Requirements documents and Functional Design Documents and develop detailed Technical Design documents.
The person will interact on a daily basis with technical peers, technical Subject Matter Experts, and Business Subject Matter Experts.
The person will develop applications according to the organization standards.  He/she will be responsible for conducting appropriate unit and system testing. He/she will also assist from a technical standpoint in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing.
The candidate will be responsible for coordination production deployments, and on-going post implementation support and enhancements.
