Experience/Skills Required:
· 8+ years of comprehensive experience in a planning and designing capacity for large scale IP networking environments
· 3+ years experience in IT strategy consulting or IT management roles
· At least 2 years of experience leading an architecture assessment and developing a roadmap from concept to hand off.
· Specific transportation experience a plus;
Subject matter expert in:
· IP routing protocols
· VOIP design for multi tenant use
· Enterprise rated WLAN design for public and office spaces
· Network Security Best Practices
· Network capacity and performance planning (Physical and logical)
Required to have at least one full lifecycle project experience in all of the following areas for a converged IP network:
· Cost Assessment,
· Carrier Networks Optimization, Selection and Services Portfolio Design
· WAN Architecture Planning and Business Case Development
· VOIP Design and Implementation
· Wireless LAN Security Planning and Design
· LAN Backbone capacity planning and optimization
· Multi use facility network architecture (retail, transport agencies, restaurants etc.)
· Bachelors degree, or equivalent in IT with a certification, such as CCNP , CCVP or preferably CCIE.
· Strong analytical and organizational skills, including attention to detail.
· Ability to multi-task, prioritizing multiple objectives and initiatives.
· Strong customer service oriented and ability to interact with clients, staff, and management teams.
· Strong knowledge of the following vendors' products and services, including, but not limited to: Microsoft, Cisco,
· At least one networking industry certification preferred such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE and RCDD (optional)
